Mafell portble band saw were originally designed to cut profiles on the ends of large timbers or rafters. But they can also be used for cutting pendants, corbels, knee braces, tenons, scarf joints, long curves and more. These machines feature Mafell's new CUprex motors, combined brake/off switch, ball bearing blade guides, variable speed digital electronics and a back tooth blade which makes backing out of cuts easier. The Z4 Ec has a cutting depth of 8" and the Z5 Ec cuts 12" deep.
